front tin question

    To put the small front bumper on a 73 do you have to change the fenders? Ar the fenders all the same?

    i think they allready have a notch


    does your car have a notch is is it straight at the bumper?

    if it has a notch yes, if not you can cut the fender or the valence:yup:

    I think 73s have the big bumper fenders.
    If so, like Eddie said, you can notch either the fenders to fit the early grille gaurd, or notch the grille gaurd to fit the late fenders.
    Personally, I like the gaurd notched. It looks cleaner than trying to cut the side of the fender.

    My 73 has the big bumper fenders :( or it would have a small bumper on it already...I just can't bring myself to cut them up with thier original paint...

    That is another thing I thought about...
    It is hard to decide to cut a painted fender and leave bare metal edges.
    If you convert to small bumpers, you need the gaurd panel and will likely need to paint it, so why not put little slots in it, then paint it.
