Actually Jamie, they're not. They can be interchanged but there are two different window configurations that I know of. The spacing between the mounting holes is where the difference is. I have several windows and there is several inches difference between some of them. I'm not sure which years were different but they are.
I think he means windshields .... if not ..... then Canadian built cars use different regulators and glass in the doors than U.S. built cars .... Ask Earl ... he as one of each in his car ...
Hmmm, I knew they were different but didn't know that was the reason. I just assumed there was a year difference. Anyway, we learned something else. Thanks Dan
I dont think its a US/Canada difference either. I've scrapped alot of cars over the years both US & Canadian and only once did I run accross the short spaced holes.
i have three (3) new door glass. they are short and long hole ones. if anyone needs a glass let me know ..the side and hole spacing...frank...
Not true! I have a nice set of tinted glass (thanks Dan), and one of the regulators on my car has long holes, one short. So.....I have to find another tinted glass. There is a difference, but I couldn't tell you why or when.
I have a 76 two door and am replacing the window regulator. I ran into the long spacing on the replacment and the exsisting was the short spacing. However I also got the glass for the replacment regulator. I am having some trouble getting everything lined up. Does anyone have some pointers.
hi, you will need the rail for the regulator you are using. it will be like a (3) piece swap..."reg.,glass and rail"...frank...
reg, glass, rail Thanks,I now have all the parts, the bolt holes on the door are about an 1/8" off from the reg. Does the rail/track have to be turned a specific direction?
