Fuel Gauge

    Hi. I'm having problems with my 76 Maverick fuel gauge system.

    How can I find out if the problem is the fuel gauge, the wiring or the fuel sender unit (the float).

    Pull the harness off the tank and insert a bent paperclip into the plug and complete the curcuit. The gauge should jump to FULL ... That should get you a little closer to the problem ..
