hey guys i hope u can help me just bought new carb for in line 6 250 new filters new gas lines even went as far as taking off the tank to check for dirt. the problem is it can sit there and idle away but when i give it a quick rev up it just shuts off and when i drive it for about 10 minutes it does it to,figured someone on here could tell me what to do next. thanks tom p.s put new fuel pump on to
don't know much about 6 cylinder carbs, but i would check the float level. sounds like it is starving for gas.
on a 4 barrel you just remove the sight level plug on the side of the bowl, loosen the nut on top of the bowl, and screw or unscrew the adjuster until the fuel just barely comes out the sight bowl when it's running. not sure if it's the same on a 6. someone else will surely know.
