alex; sounds like you have a fuel tank full of goo. You should probably clean out the tank, and install a new fuel pump and lines. Hope it goes well,

I don't know how to clean the pump, but I would definitely take the tank out and have it cleaned out. The lines will be a little difficult, but don't they make a product that breaks up the gas goo back into a liquid? Don't know what it's called, but it might help somehow if you find it. Good luck.

Most pumps can't be disassembled without destroying them. Clean the tank and put a fuel filter in the fuel line just before the pump to protect the pump.
