Hey everyone, I need some info on the replacement fuel sender situation. I searched around and it appears the Autokrafters isn't shipping them (for whatever reason) and there isn't anywhere else to get them. I also saw that someone installed a Mustang sender from NPD. Which one will work? This will be for a 73 Comet. So if there is a place to get a replacement weather it is a direct fit or one of the Mustang parts, which is the best way to go Thanks!!!!!
Weather stripping? If that's what you meant to type, Auto Krafters has it, along with a few other sources. It's made by Dennis Carpenter, and sold by a few different places.
Most all Ford/Mercury/Lincoln cars & trucks from the mid-60's through '86 (?) had the same sender range (Ohms, 73 = full & 0 = empty). If you're handy, you can remove the "head unit" from a new sender and swap it onto your old pickup tube. Prolly a whole lot easier than finding a new replacement for a specific car (tank). I did this on my car because I used a Mustang tank and an Autometer fuel gauge that required a 240 to 33 Ohm sender. It was very easy... Russ

AutoKrafters warehouse is about 15 minutes from where I live, if you can get the price of the item plus shipping and send me a check/money order I can purchase it and ship it to you.
So we like the Mustang (Mustangs unlimited) part? I can also check out NPD as I live in Dearborn, about 15 minutes. I'll check it out when I get home on two weeks. Hey Dave, weather stripping? What thread were you reading?
I think he was referring to your misspelling of "whether" as "weather" in your original post and it got him confused, especially after those 8 beers hes about to admit to drinking.
Hmmm, I just re-read your post...I don't know?? But I do know that I drank 8 beers this afternoon..:16suspect
8 Beers! Good start........... that's a good lunchfor a Canadian! When did I say whether or weather or whatever??????
