I just got the new gas tank on and got it fired up, but i found out that the reason the gauge isnt working is because the fuel sending unit that goes in the left side of the tank is fully rusted over. Anyone know where i could get one i checked autozone, fastauto and a few more places but noone has them?

I had a similar problem once, if you're talking about the round sheetmetal part being rusty. I cleaned off all of the rust and soldered on a metal tab so that I could connect a separate ground wire to the sending unit. Sprayed the previously rusted part with zinc galvanized paint.
