Well I did get to see Tim and his sweet Comet on Saturday but that was all the board members I ran into.
It was HOT and Sticky on Saturday and I tripped the red light in the second round .492 The car ran great even in 94% humidly and 97 degree heat. I made a 10.21 pass at 130 MPH with a terrible 60 foot of 1.41 (track was greasy) but I enjoyed the ride. I did see some other Comets and Mavericks there and one was even a Comet sister to my Maverick (Pearl white). I finally got around to putting on the Grabber stripes and I think it makes the car look a lot better.
Here is a pix (I hope) I only got the tire off the ground about 6 to 8 inches nowhere near my best of 12 to 16 inches. As soon As I can get a better pix of my car I’ll post it.

Cool pic. Last Friday, Mercurycruizers and I were the only 2 Comets at the T&T (no Mav's). Our last run was side by side, too bad his motor quit! Woulda been more fun if we could have gotten more than 3 runs in 6 hours though. :banghead:

Nice pic Terry I sure do like the stripes.I wish I could have been there I have been piddling around at MD with my car and its in the 12s now even with bad air.went 13.07 then 13.05 so I put a friends 750 dbl pumper on same day at track and it went a 12.91 and picked up all most 3mph. 60ft went from 1.84 to 1.78.That was a T&T on a Sat. and on Sun. I picked up an 03 18ft. full deck car trailer. So now after all this time I can go elsewere.I'm thinking of going to Manasas Va. for the show of shows on Aug. 28. its all older cars only.well got to run later.

Weight is 2800. Headers are Hooker 6208 swap for a 351W in a 69-70 Mustang, you can find a lot about them with a search on hooker 6208.
    Pistons are Probe 2618 T-61 aluminum 30 over for a 408.
Cam is a special grind roller .662 intake .670 exh duration 254 intake 260 exh
    110 lobe sep.
The block has been decked, intake and heads are port matched.
    Anything else, just ask.(y)
