Hello all, newbie here. Just purchased a 72 Maverick retro mod. Unfortunately I cannot contact the person who built the car so i'm on my own. The fuel gauge is inop but the power wire is flashing on/off. I traced it to gauge cluster but did not see any issues. Could he have installed the wire to the wrong post where it connects to the cluster? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks, Stuart

There is no "post" on the back of the instrument cluster for the fuel gauge. It is all part of a circuit board.

Pull the plug off of the gas tank and jump the two wire prongs together. Now get in the car and turn ignition to "run". Fuel gauge should read full if operating correctly from the plug to the dash.
