Has anyone had problems with the gas pump nozzle not sealing correctly to the filler? Every time I go to the gas station I end up leaving a small puddle of precious fuel behind...
Also, this is may seem like a stupid question, but I cant seem to get the bulbs out of the sockets for the brake lights, is there some special trick or are they just stuck in there?

I switch to a '75-'77 "No Lead" filler neck with the trap door on my '74. I can now go full blast with the nozzle. The Nozzle's in GA are different than the CA nozzle's...we don't have the spring loaded accordion style rubber boot, matter of fact some don't have a spring around the nozzle.

To remove the bulb...push it in the socket then turn. Don't push too hard or the bulb could break

Thanks I'll try that. How much do the filler necks go for? Will they work with the stock tank?
I managed to get one of the bulbs out doing that, but the other one looks different, and it doesnt want to push in or rotate. We gave it quite a bit of pressure but we didnt want to break it. Any ideas?

Not sure about the other tanks, but for a 70 it is very easy. Screws on the outside of the tail panel. The tube goes right thru there and into the top of the tank.

I always use a short piece of heater hose that's slightly smaller than the bulb instead of my fingers for this exact reason.

I got the new filler neck and I took the old one out. When I tried to put the new one in I found that it is to long. Could I cut it or do you guys not recommend that?

Is the new one longer than the old one? 1971-1977 should all be the same length.

The newer one is longer. It's from a 74 I believe. The original is from a 71.
