    G'day all,my name is Frank (username ozypedeler) and I live in Adelaide Sth Australia.I am on the "other side" of 50yrs so excuse my attempts at computing.I have always been into cars (classics,rods,racing) and recently taken an interest in the Maverick/Comet.Upon exploring on the internet I came across this site and find it ideal.Anyway,please excuse me for dropping in on threads,I am only looking to gain knowledge.
    Now to explore this site.

    I love that car too. It was built by "fan2488" in Texas. I was lucky enough to see it in person before he sold the car. There's a lot of work and a lot of thought put into it, and it's every bit a nice as the pictures suggest. He did the paint himself and it's perfect, interior has a lot of nice custom touches, even the trunk is well done, with some custom fiberglass work. My overall impression of the car was "this is what Ford might have done if they weren't trying to cut every corner to make Mavericks cheap."

    Gotta question, do your Mavericks and Comets come right hand drive? I had a friend that had an Australian 56 Chevy and it was right drive!

    Thank you all for your words of "welcome".Yes,that orange Mav is a stunner!If that is in Oz I will try and catch up with the owner (or perhaps he might contact me) as I would like to make contact with all Mav/Comet owners in Oz.It would be interesting to know how many Mavs there are here.Not many,I'm sure!
    We did not get them here so any in the country have been bought in.These days most states allow Left Hand Drive registration but any that have been here for years could have RHD conversion (posibly using local Falcon parts).
    I am sure I will enjoy this site and of course,the site is the people---and so far you all seem like a good bunch!lol.Of course,if you work on me enough (won't take much really) I will just have to buy one!
