I currently have 4.11 gears and a 29" tire on my mav. I run through the traps at 5400 rpm. I want to run through at approx 6000 -6200 rpm. I've searched the web but am unable to find the formula to figure out rpm / gear ratio / et, does any body know where to find it?

Thanks for posting the link, a lot of interesting info. Its always amusing to use the HP calculator, I love it when people tell you thier car has x amount of horsepower because of the bolt on goodies and then they put it on a dyno or do use one of these calculators and they are 100 hp shy of what they think, I once say a guy that had a lot of goodies on his car and after putting it on the dyno he went over to the corner and puked, guess he couldnt stomach the fact that he spent thousands of dollars to have little more than a stock motor.

    No it wasnt me :burnout:

You need a 4.71 gear....if you can find it. 8" rear, you can get a 4.62 (close enough) and 9" you can get a 4.71, 4.57, or 4.86. 4.71 is not a common ratio and hard to find.
