Well, I've been looking at possible upgrades for my 250 I6 and I can't seem to find any aftermarket headers at all. i was thinking maybe it would be advantageous to just get the stock ones ceramic coated. What do you think?
I have to agree with Mr. Mavoholic.... The coating never lasts..... at least none I have seen..... Anybody else have a good XP?
I had thought about that before but forgot until you said that. I do love the look of wrapped headers. Thanks!
Have you tried clifford performance? http://www.cliffordperformance.net/...?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=CP&Category_Code=F300 They have alot of neat aftermarket stuff for the ford six. Are you talking about coating the exhaust manifold? They're are benefits to ceramic coating. For one, it keeps heat on the inside keeping your engine bay cooler while promoting velocity. It's not just snake oil and if its applied correctly it will hold up. Wrapping headers is very, very bad and coating headers serves the same purpose. my .02.
