Got everything just about stripped from the car so it's ready for the body shop. Stopped in today to see if it was OK to drop it off Saturday and he said can't do it. Gonna be off for the weekend fishing in Panama City ... Oh well .. Gotta wait until next week ...

I was a little more than hesitant to open this thread when I saw who the author was. ;)

Everybody deserves a week off - especially if it's fishing.

Looking good. Can't wait to see the 'after' pics.

    Luck,

    Rick

I hope he does a good job keeping the dust and overspray off that nicely detailed engine compartment.

Yeah .. me too! Gonna tell him to make sure he wraps that rascal! I just have the fenders hanging on with two bolts ... Hopefully he'll paint the fenders off the car and he can mask the entire front end. Since I'm doing single stage, non-metallic there shouldn't be an issue doing it that way ..

Dan if it was me and I had put all that work into the engine and bay I think I would cover and mask it myself, just to be on the safe side.:)

We'll see ... I trust them... They are a professional body shop that really only do classic cars infrequently. I have had several new cars fixed there and a previous Maverick painted there. They are pretty used to fixing new cars and not overspraying where it ain't supposed to be. Like I said above ... I'm gonna also ask if they can possibly paint the fenders off the car to lesson the chance of overspray ... They have a top quality down draft booth so that should help too ..
