Well I think it is time to get started on the other Mav. I hate to see it just sitting there not getting any attention it is going to be a very slow process, but I think this one is going to be alot of fun. My black car was built by my father and I so this one will just be me and the wife and I am sure dad will be getting some phone calls, and of course I will be on here asking questions along the way. Going to try some things with this car, some I have seen done some I haven't but thats the fun part right.
I got the garage cleaned out so that I could start to do a few things to the car, it only took me about 4 hours to get things in place. But I finally made some room for my new work bench and my tool box in that side of the garage so I don't have to do as much walking And I did have alittle help today....Our new little one helped hold down the carpet out of the 75 while I was moving things around
Now I have not seen your black car in person but the pictures I have seen of it look awesome. So I know this second project will be just as good or even better. Mind sharing some of the ideas you plan to incorporate in this restoration. lance Keep on mavericking man............
hard to really give any details when I don't know them yet.......To start this one will be Angie's car so she will have the final say.....(It is great haveing a wife that is into old cars:bananaman ) As far as major mods I don't think it will have much, just going to do alot of research on things that I have questions about, when I built mine I didn't have access to the net so, that and my dad is very old school so the thought of electronic anything was out of the question. One thing for sure this one will be an efi of some type. Not sure on the engine yet, have been thinking about the 5.4 that they are running the the full size trucks, I have heard that they are pretty torchy......... But you just never know
wtg. i'm hoping to get started on mine shortly. been putting things off but i am gathering parts. nothing fancy. i just want a street machine to drive around locally. the red rollaround tool box in your picture? what brand is it? i have the same one, but it only says caterpillar on it. that's where the guy i bought it from worked. thanks.
