So the GF wants to buy a car soon. She is looking for an older car. She likes my maverick but thinks they are a little masculine. She mentioned the old mini cooper would be cool. What other cars are out there that are small compact classic and more feminine?

Any aircooled VW, particularly the Ghia. Type III squareback is my favorite, and there's always the good old classic Bug.

    Datsun 2000 roadster.

    MGB, Midget

    Triumph Sprite, Spitfire

Ask any of the older guys I work with and they'll tell you that their mothers and grand mothers all drove Comets. I even had a little old lady come up to me at the mall parking lot once and say "Ooooh a comet, I had one of those. I had a thing for beaters!"
Talk about a blow to my machismo ego.
She also owned a Maverick, and then a Pinto though.

Got my Maverick from my wife's great grandmother. She chose all the options, and never let her husband drive it. He had his own truck that she never wanted to drive.

    How masculine is this?

The reason I like my comet is that yeah sure, back in the day it was commonly drivien by women for the most part, but kids now don't know that. They see my car with it's little 6Cyl 4.1L engine and think it's a muscle car just from how it looks.

the only people who know any better are the older guys, I actually overheard one outside a coffee shop on my way out while I was walking towards mine say to his friend "Yeah they're pretty, but very gutless"

OK you guys are bad. I was going to say Comet but refrained cause I'm more mature and sensitive to the Comet owners than the rest of you.:rofl2:

Actually I've had a few women come up to me and comment on the fact they used to have a Maverick.

Get her a nice V8 Mustang2. They are feminine and fun.
