    Ok, I am giving in.
I have been a die hard C4 guy for the last forty years and I have decided to look into building the AOD transmissions for performance.
My problem is that I have no connections to fluid flow diagrams so that i can figure out what mods need to be made to the valve body, no information on which stock parts are the strongest and no information on the sequence of operations for the AOD.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to get this information?

No...but when you figure it all out, I'm sure we'll be bugging the crap out of you for all of those great answers you always have. I'd certainly like to build a good aod in my next project.

Good luck on getting the Overdrive clutches/bands/gear/whatever to handle 450fwhp for any duration.

That seems to be the biggest obstacle (well, it was a few years back - things change).

    Good luck.

There has to be a way because Broader Performance has AOD's that are taking the same maximum torque and horsepower as the C4's. They are taking up to 1000 hp but that is with a lot of specially made shafts and drums. The only things you have to replace in a C4 is the input shaft and the planetaries to get to that point (and install roller bearings and thrust rollers) I think I can get to 600 hp with the C4 but I have some letters out to see what the strengths are and where the weak points lie.

    Ray,
I wonder if Len will share the information.
I'll give it a try and see what happens. Thanks!

    Ray,
I contacted Len, and got a polite answer to one of the four questions that I had asked. He said if I was willing to give up the locking converter the AOD with nothing but stock parts could be made to handle 400 HP. He also said that with the locking converter it could only handle 300 HP. I guess from that point of view I will have to put up with the 93% efficiency of a non-locking converter.
I replied to his email to see if he would answer a request for more information. I suppose time will tell.
