HOLY $&!#!!! I forgot all about Glasstek!! They do real good work. I wonder why the google machine never brought them up before. They're right next to my mom and dad's house. I'm really digging the fiberglass front end. mmmmmmm......

Sorry, I got distracted there! Yes, glass parts generally require some trimming, sanding, etc to get them to fit. Oh well.... It's really easy to work with and doesn't rust. If you screw it up, you just sand it down and put more resign on it. No sweat. I say go for it. There's really no down side to fiberglass other than you have to watch people so they don't lean on it and stuff. Especially the race weight glass. It's super thin!! Also if your glass part ever gets crashed into you can order another one. Can't really say that about steel parts. You can probably replace it for the same cost of taking it to the body shop. I backed into my wife's car about a month ago and insurance quoted over 3 grand in damage! Yikes!!

Vettes used to be all fiberglass.
    Thicker than raceweight stuff though.
I remember my 73 would make cracks and creaks when I leaned on it too much, but it never did anything you could see.
Fiberglass parts never fit right when you get them.
The end user must fit them by hand.

    Edit: Don't forget VFN.
I don't know if they have much Mav stuff, but they are VERY active in expanding their inventory to include a variety. At least they were up to the time I got out of my Z28 last year.

Showcars==EVIL. Do not do any business with them.

I don't know about the other two. Do a search on the forum on Showcars and you will get nothing but bad deals and cheats from them.

Otherwise, good luck on the glass stuff. Let us know how they work out. I would like some glass valences, trunklid, etc.

The nice thing about 'glas is that you can theoretically do anything with it.
I would like to see a 'glas ducktail bonded to a glas lid. You couldn't get away with that using a steel lid.
Same thing with a chin spoiler and valance.
    Comet scoop and hood.
    and so on...

    Old topic, but......

    I found this: http://www.bruisglassworks.com/ford.html

I've never heard of them before, and never dealt with them (yet). Thought it might give us another source for some 'glass parts.
