Since I did my Grabber pretty much factory correct ... I decided do my 74 engine a little more radical. Terry, Earl and Wayne come up today to get Terry's new 302 and help me put my new 250 on the engine stand. Since it was bare metal I figured I'd paint it up before any rust could set in ... It may look orange in the picture but it is Ford Red with a chrome valve cover.
Dadgum! Dan, I was only joking when I said paint it Chevy orange! Looks...um...uh...good. Guess I'll have to see it in person, huh? As usual, you are doing good work.
Hey, leave him alone. If he can't tell the difference between gas and diesel fuel, how do you expect him to pick between red and orange? Seth
Actually, the engines of the late 50's Ford cars were painted a shade of red that had an orange hue to it. I had to run for my life about 20 years ago when I asked a T-Bird owner why he painted the engine Chevy orange.
