Hey have you ever had a chance to get down to Phoenix. Me and my Dad always go down to the car meet every Friday on 35th Ave and Northern. All kinds of nice cars.

No imports allowed, it's nice to see all of the old hot rods and muscle cars. :)

weather was great.... nice cool temps....even got cold enough to have to wear a sweat shirt...but i left mine in the car when we were watching.... oh well

first run was 15.077 at 91.39 (timing was 35* at 3000)
second run was 15.081 at 93.02 (changed the plugs... gapped to .050)
last run was 15.142 at 92.47 (timed to 37* at 3000....and discovered that the advance is at 3600 rpms... need to change springs..maybe? thought??)

i dfont understand why it ran a 14.5 last year and this year its a 15 second car... its really frustrating...

but... i met a guy who owns a 72 grabber... his name is Dennis Dosch. Don Graham knows him... and his grabber ran 12.4 all night....and went all the way to the last round int he dash for the cash and got beat... mustang ran a 11.12 with 11.11 dial and dennis went 12.45 with a 12.42 dial.... oh man...maybe next time...

i told dennis to register and get in here.... we will see...

but i did learn a few things.... Dennis is running almost identical setups as me...only differences are..... he has 4.11 gear and slicks and he has a lunati cam in the .520 range... so i know what i need to run in the 12's and 13's.... YAY!

The weather conditions play a huge part in the racer's game....

Yeah, people from other states think I'm weird when I say, "It was cold today". Then they ask me what the temp. was, and I say it was in the 60's. :)

phoenix is about .3 faster as the altitude is only about 1300 compared to tucson's 3075.:)
