A few weeks ago, Earl and I went and inspected a Maverick, for a forum member, that was near my home. We met a wonderful older gentleman that has been drag racing since the 60's and was selling all his "stuff."

Well, today I went back to his house and picked up a set M/T ET Drag slicks, two tubes, and three wheels. The slicks are 26/8.5-14's. They have one pass on them. They will do perfect for my streetable '73 (upon completion) when I take it to the strip. I got 'em for five Andrew Jackson's. Here's a pic or two...

What is an "Andrew Jackson"? Never heard that before...up here in Canada we have a much more sophisticated terminology to decribe our hard earned pay...like "Loonie" or perhaps "Toonie" for example! Pretty cool eh! :D Looks like a good deal though.. (y)

I'm sorry. I keep forgetting that everybody is not an American. An Andrew Jackson is a $20 bill. That is US not Canadian.

Okay, I gotta ask. What's the deal with the two 'smilar but not the same' wheels?

I think I recognize the wheel that the slick is mounted on as being a Centerline, no? The more I look at it, I say, "No".

Either way, one tube costs about what you paid for all the 'stuff'. Good deal. (y)

Ahh, what do you know? You've married for 24 years; how many working brain cells can you have left? (Persanally, I'd like to know the answer to that queston because I'll be married 24 years in August.)

Actually, Bert told said these were originally 35 in tall off-road tires, but he lost all the tread doing that first burnout...nobody told him to stop.

He was cleaning out his garage. The two wheels were thrown in today. I didn't know I was getting those. Any ideas what those wheels are? The are 14 x 7. Jamie was just here and he thinks they came off a Ranger. I dunno and I didn't ask.

But, why the difference (holes in one, not the other)?

In Canada, the twenty dollar bill is purple and has a picture on it of a chicken shaking hands with a rabbit.
Also it's worth sixty three cents.

That's okay. For some time now, I've suspected y'all were brothers. Of course, Frank is the much older brother.
