Looking for a picture of the STOCK setup of a Grabber rearend. Looking to see correct placement of pinstripe on 1/4 extentions and decklid. Also looking for correct placement of Maverick emblem on the rear spoiler ... Thx ..
I took pictures of mine before i painted it. I also noted EXACTLY where the emblem was in releation to the spoiler. Let me see if I can dig those out.
O.K. I think this would apply to a Grabber rear spolier only...as i have not checked another. The Maverick emblem is exactly 8 inches from the left side of the "M" to the right side of the trunk/spolier lid. The "M" sits exactly 7/8" above the bottom of the spolier. The "K" sits exactly 3/4" above the bottom of the spoiler. Hope this helps...I will work on getting the rear pictures with the stripe.
Here is the picture of my original Rear Spoiler on the car I sold to Hawco. My car never came with a rear pinstripe ... Wonder if that was a 1972 thing? Also the placement of the Maverick Logo appears further to the left than your measurement ...
Since the Maverick logo on the trunk is a peel and stick, I'll bet you will not find two alike. The line workers probably eyeballed them.
Perhaps it's an illlusion? If that red decklid was like the rest of the car it is the factory original. Looks like it sits somewhere above the right side reverse light ....
I have to agree ... I just looked through several years of sales brochures and none show the emblem that far over ...
Funny-The Mercury emblem has pins that recess into the decklid on mine. We replaced my decklid with a lid from a Maverick. I have to shave the pins off and glue my Mercury emblem on. I have pics of where it goes. Seth
