Just for the front bench with headrests in black vinyl was $800. He suggested I get some sorta OEM cover and hell just charge for installation. I was looking at a few covers but they all look so shoddy and not appealing at all.

I really want to go for the black vinyl look but I dont want to break the bank for it.

Am I missing anything? What have you guys done in this situation?

By the sounds of it the guy priced it high because he doesn't really want to do it.For $800 around here i could get front and back seats done as well as the door panels and package tray

Wow I guess he doesnt need the work. My bench front and rear seat is 450 with vinyl and cloth in lay. This includes the work around for the big notch at the floor shift.

I couldnt even find a seat cover for mine never mind uphostery that will fit.

all i had quoted before for me here was my back seat was 800..i did it for like 50 bucks worth of marine vinyl from fabricland..learned a lot doing it..if i did it again it would probably be perfect but id be spending a few more hours on it then i did plus the correct clips and tool. but i'm happy with how it came out for a first timer.

Is that an estimate? Change it to a front bench and your hired...Course shipping you the seats would out it right back to $800

That's a great price by any standards in this day and age. I have seen those seats and wish I had been able to get a deal like that. Im guessing that was an installed price? I paid that for seat covers w/ shipping and had to install them myself. If so - I can't hardly see anyone topping it..:yup::yup:

Growlypants I used the site you mentioned but got the custom covers. You have to stretch and hog ring it yourself but mine turned out really good. I will post a pic later so you can see. Here is the link to what I got.
