I got lucky and went all the way to the finals only to lose on a red light. Car was very consistent and once I figured out the pro tree my lights were really good too. In the finals I ran an 11.52 on an 11.52. I won $200 yippee: It was good PR for Mavericks. On a side note, there's some people that are protesting the lights saying they have proof that the left lane was giving red lights incorrectly. That's the lane I red lit in. They are saying it was doing a .500 pro tree instead of a .400. They were working on the lights all weekend because it is only the 2nd race at the track. I'm not saying I care, I'm extremely happy to get runner-up in a class of 70 cars. It just seems interesting that I could red light on a .400 pro tree when footbraking...on the other hand, that may be why some of my lights were so good in that lane
congratulations again. we had a couple of psca cars doing a test n tune in tucson friday night. i was wondering wether they were going there or not.
Ha, ha...you'll understand in about 4-5 months. The wife wants me to use the winnings to go to the next PSCA race in Vegas (although $200 won't even pay for the gas). That could be lots of fun, anyone want to come?
June 23 and 24, Friday and Saturday. It is at night because it is so hot in June. Check out the website... http://www.pscaracing.com/schedule.html and here's a link to some pictures from last weekend (I lost to the orange truck)... http://www.photoreflect.com/scripts/prsm.dll?eventorder?photo=024S00AK000231&start=0&album=0&adjust=-1 and http://www.photoreflect.com/scripts/prsm.dll?eventorder?photo=024S00AK000044&start=0&album=0&adjust=-1 They did confirm the faulty red lights...I may have won if the lights didn't malfunction, but its no big deal to me. Some of the pro guys who spend big $$ are kind of pissed though.
I own a 72 Comet, 2dr, 302, C4 tranny. I went to Speed World down in Surprise AZ and I had soo much fun. I wasn't in my 72 but all I could think about was fixing it and bring it down and racing it. It needs a new motor and I was wondering if I should get a stock remanufactured engine or buy a new one built for a 1\4 strip. I don't really care about raceing for $$. I just want to have fun. No believes I can make that a 12 second car and I always do the opposite of what people say. So any suggestions?
Way to go,Erick. Runner up in that class ain't to shabby. So,the new converter must be working, huh? Did you mow down my buddy in a red '62 Falcon,I think he runs that class?
halies72, go to the timeslip database and show that to your friends:evilsmile. there are several ways to get down to 12 if thats your goal. erick, stupid job- i need to retire. let us know how you do in vegas
