Grabber & Comet find in the Foothills!!!

The past couple of days I have been thinking of starting a thread for all of the local muscle cars, hot rods & classics that I see. I live in a very small town and it is amazing all of the old cars around here. Yesterday I saw a 1974-1977 4 door Maverick, 1970 Charger and what looked like a 1969 Chevelle convertible. I was out cruisin' today and look what I found. I saw a lady in the driveway, so I pulled in and asked if they were for sale. She said they were her ex-boyfriends and they were for sale. She was getting ready to leave so I only had a quick minute to get a couple of pics and check the vin on the Maverick for the numbers "93". It is a Grabber with the hood and spoiler. I know nothing about the Comet...could it be a GT? She gave me his number and I called a little while ago and left a message.

 

I don't think the GT's had the chrome trim on the back along the quarter extensions and the trunk lid. I will look through my pictures. Maybe somebody else will know.

 

I don't think the stripes look like GT stripes.

 

I just looked through my pictures. YES, I seen some with the chrome trim. So it "could" be a GT.

 

I don't care for Comets, but I do like the looks of this one. These more than likely wouldn't be for me because I am actually trying to sell one right now, unless he is selling for real cheap. I thought I might be able to hook someone else up though.

 

Is that a Pinto/Bobcat beyond the Grabber?

 

It's a Mustang II fastback. I'm guessing he was going to use the rack & pinion steering. I will bet that it is for sale too.
There was also a 1974? Malibu SS.

Is it possible to tell if it is a GT by the vin, like you can a Grabber?

keep me posted on what you find out on those two. depending on the price I might buy both of them especially the comet. when we get together tomorrow youve got to show me where those are.

Hey make sure you check that white Mustang II Mach 1, it should have that cool 3 spoke sport wheel on it-most I've seen had the wheel on it. Might even be the leather style with the finger grippers on it. Good luck!
