I have seen it done 2 ways. Never done myself... The one had the whole back cut out of the scoop. Making a large hole where the fake scoop grille once was. That would let most air in, but would also gulp water, leaves, dirt, etc... The other way, I have seen on many, many Mavs... Take a drill bit about the size of the phony holes in the scoop grille, and drill them out. Less air, but some air, without too much crap getting in there. Dave
