Hi all, I'm curious to know how many v8 grabbers would have left ford with a toploader?? Most of the grabbers I see for sale are auto.

    None.....

Ford never put the four speeds in mavericks here in the US/Canada even if the cars had the grabber appearence package...

But they did south of the border in some of the mexican mavericks but I dont believe they were called grabbers(some of our members know that one better then me) and the maverick GT's had them too if I remember correctly but the GT's all came from Brazil.

He may be asking about the toploader 3 speed that came in mavericks. I had a 76 or 77 hat I parted out years ago that had one of those.

I thought that might be a possibility thats why I noted the 4 speed part, but usually when people refer to the "toploader" transmission they are talking about the 4 speed.

I never hear of the 3.03 3-speed being called a toploader untill I joined this board. I also never heard of frame mounts called engine stands either.
