I recently purchased a maverick that had been sitting for about 2-3yrs. The previous owner said he would periodically go out and start it up but not drive it to keep the engine "fresh". After rebuilding the carb, tuning up the engine, and other maintenance issues, I am the proud owner of a working drivable '73 Maverick. Only a few minor details stand in front of it being a dream car. Well after getting it home a neighbor backed into it so I have to repair the grille and passenger fender and minor work to the bumper. Trying to figure out a nice color scheme would be next decision. What make this car priceless is that I had the joy of working on it with my grandfather. Glad to be part of the site and might be coming back on here in the future with more questions about the technical side of it or possible replacement issues.
