    Hello Folks,

I know this sounds a little off-center, but as I was driving home from a doctor's appointment earlier this morning, I happened to see a really nice (at least from a distance) early-model Maverick. Seeing this car reminded me of a regular customer who used to stop by with his Grabber clone at a Ford dealership I worked at several years ago. Seeing this Maverick this morning also reminded me of how much I really liked those little cars when they were out.

As soon as I got home, I headed straight for my computer and Googled "Maverick Grabber" and here I am! I have been thinking a lot over the past several months that it's about time I find me something to restore that I would enjoy driving MUCH more than the Wife's mini-van or my Explorer. I very well may have just convinced myself that my "project car" should be a Maverick!!! I'm looking forward to enjoying your website!

Where abouts in MD do you live? The Maverick Nationals is coming up in July and it is being held down by Dullas airport area. Also Ford Carlisle is coming up first week in June and there is always a good Maverick / Comet turn out. Give me a call sometime, I'm in Crownsville. 410-923-6630

    Hello Mavaholic,

I live about 10 miles west of Frederick, near Middletown. I had actually been looking into Ford Carlisle a few months back and had actually intented on going. Having forgot about it until you just reminded me, I'm afraid there are too many things going on with the kids getting out of school, etc.. Having never been to Carlisle, I assume that its a really, really crowed affair... How does one go about getting tickets, parking and such??? I would appreciate any info...

Thanks Mavaholic... I should have known that without having to dip into to the "stupid questions" pool first thing off the bat! Anyway, thanks again for being tolerant and answering the question - I'll try to refrain from as many stupid questions as possible in the future.

Seriously, I really would like to make that show if at all possible. Since I've got a few weeks yet, I may be able to shuffle the schedule around enough to make the trip happen.
