I hate living 150mi from the track.
I was going to go racing today. Made arrangements to borrow a truck, found a trailer to rent this morning and was ready to go. This morning the weather reports said it was raining down there, so I decided to bag it. Well I just looked at the http://www.pacificraceways.com webcam and it's sunny and the track people are starting to set up for tonights racing. Been looking forward to this all winter and it seems I could have made it, but played it safe and missed out.
    Whine over...

ray, if your waiting for the rain to stop in washington you'll be waiting a long time. as the saying goes "come to the washington state rain festival. from january 1st to december 31st". one of the first things i had to get used to when i moved from washington was all the sunshine in az. we did get rained out for a couple of races already so i do feel your pain. that was really unususl. good luck and i hope you get to race soon.

Earl, you're about 99 miles from Commerce and about 61 miles from Reynolds. I'm 79 miles from Commerce and 81 miles from Reynolds.:90:

Ray, I can't believe you actually paid attention to the weather reports.:tsk: Not being a wise guy, but next time call the track at about the time you need to leave.:hmmm:

That sucks Ray. I don't even like driving from Shoreline to Pacific with the
    3.50's.
The 3K buzzing drives me nuts. We need to get some overdrive trannys! I'm reluctant becuase my c-4 has been fully re-sealed/gasketed and I have a TCI Sat. Nite Special converter + B&M shift kit. Having to swap out all that gear (not to mention the new flex-plate) seems a shame. I can't decide what to do.

I'm glad I live 10 minutes from the track. I could've told you, if it was raining Ray....Let me know when you're going....I'm game. And my 355 gears run all day on the highway @ 3,000 rpm 60 mph. I love the roar of the mufflers....come on down with us Comet155...

I only live about 30 minutes from the track here, and I still only make out there a few times a year, even just to watch. I went Wed, and well, that's the last time I skip church to go to Wed. test-n-tune....

10 minutes from the track. Dayum! Lucky b@st@rd! That would be awesome.
Ok, dug out the Indy Profile SS's. I don't have a durometer, but they felt a little like fine grained granite. Applied 2 coats of Traction V and checked back an hour later....I'll be dipped in sh!t...they started to soften somewhat.
Looks like I might be able to use 'em after all.
Don't expect sub 2 sec 60ft times...now that the SSM lift bars are gone. But with the pressure reduced to 14 lbs......just might pull this off!
    Gulp!

The 18th. Hummph! I'll alert some fans...see if they'll show up as well. I miss the old days when they had the weekend T&T.
Sounds like Ray has a truck/trailer lined up. How do you guys usually pull this off....meet down there or head down in a convoy? Would be kinda nice to have a chaser rig just to be safe on the way down.
This way I can kick back with a cold one and supervise while my support staff work on problems if I breakdown. (Bust'in knuckles before a race might upset my reaction time. Tee-hee!)
