Weather was coolish (70's) and hook up seemed fairly decent.

My opponent said I "blew by" 'em at 3/4 track.

    I'm #188 on the right.

    Whoo-hoo! :thumbs2:

very nice time...whats the engine combo/gears?

i'm yet to get a legit pass out of my car..i had a 60' time off one run...then a mph on motor..and was trying to guess a time i'd hit..my 60' was a 1.4 then another run i spun and had a 2.1 60' still trapped at like 112mph.
built the car to run on spray..ain't gave it a shot yet though due to other issues.
i would be VERY happy to run what you did, very nice run :)

    Thank you.
You've got a great 60' Sounds like it will come together with traction/launch work.

Mike, Have you seen the rig recently?

Just yanking your chain. I didn't know it was going run that quick. I only teched for 12's.
Gotta get out the welder now.

Feels pretty awesome to go that quick doesnt it, after all the work and money you put into the car it gives you a warm fuzzy feeling.

Now you have a beautiful Comet that people better think twice about when they pull up beside you at a light and egg you on, not that I would ever think about street racing :drive:

It's been a long road with many set backs. I've thought about throwing in the towel more than once (putting it mildly).

But yes, to be successfully wielding that kind of power is quite pleasing.

Yeah, great job,I`m surprised you hooked so well w/ no more rear gear than you have, that`s very hard to do,you are to be commended. That gear w/ short tires means you still get a lot of speed at the end of the trk, very difficult to do.:thumbs2:

    Thanks Dan.

I'm running some worn out BFG drag gumballs 275/50-15's

That run was with zero burnout, my fake/cheapo bolt on traction bars, and high pressure KYB gas-a-just shocks....... but the track was sticky and warm, so that helped.

Now I'm trying to figure out why the alternator temporarily croaked after that run (belt was still on). It restarted on the 35 mile drive back to dry-dock (no trailers, full street rig). Took everything apart and other than some slightly toasty looking windings (which I cleaned and touched up with "liquid electrical tape goop") everything else seemed ok. Bolted it back on and charges like a champ. WTF?

    Thanks or.

I don't have the safety equipment to even run the 11's.

I'm contemplating going back under the radar into the street cruising contingent as opposed to trying to go even quicker.

    Hmm...undecided at this point.

Thanks, it was a kick in the pants!

Updates? Naw, I'd have to keep changing 'em especially now with the 427 aluminum Man o` War block and 8-71 on order.

Zombie petrified Phoenix from the ashes revival thread....

Just to clarify..... no Cliff, he did not "let off" at the end of the run.

He came up to me after the race and said he had his leg in the radiator the whole time.
He seemed a little pissed that his big block Mustang just got out run by a little ole Comet.
