G-Force t5, it's hard shifting from 5th into 4th unless I go to 3rd first then it goes into 4th easily. Don't even have to fully go into 3rd, can just barely move into 3rd and that's enough for it to easily go into 4th. No problem going from 3rd to 4th either when normally upshifting.

Has it allways been this way Mo??? They do tend to be a bit hard to drop into 4th from 5th gear. Could be a syncro going bad also. You do have good forged shift forks in that trans right???

Just started doing it. I think the shift fork is stock.

Stock T-5 shift forks are a weak link. I think you have a syncro problem or a bent shift fork Mo. If you have a shifter on it that is adjustable as far as the throw and detents are concerned, you may want to see if an adjustment is in order. All things considered it may be time to take it apart again.

I would put money on a misaligned shift fork. When you push it up to 3rd you are getting it past the bad spot and freeing it up. Could be bent, or scratched, or a number of things that could foul it up. Just be glad you don't have a car with a mazda m5r2 in it. those seem to eat up shift forks (don't ask how I know.)
