Came across them while searching for fiberglass hoods. They show to have quite an inventory and can make quite lots of parts from fiberglass. Anyone heard of them or bought from them before?

Actually, I would steer clear of them. I tried to buy a CD catalog, so I could decide which hood I wanted, sent them the cash for the CD, then got an email stating "we are out of the CD catalogs, and have no plans on making anymore, but will put your money toward your first purchase."

I wrote back and said give me my money back and I will go somewhere else.

    Guess what the response was...

    NO REFUNDS!!!

    don't do it...

i bought my fenders and doors here. have looked at showcars after the fact. the fit and finish i had was fine, minimal sanding, usual alignment issues. most likely close on both companies, these days i find more often then not its no longer the dog eat dog competetiveness it used to be. unless they molded off a twisted panel, your more than likely gonna be close. just my .02(of course shannon , i expect you to disagree, its what makes us kindred spirits)

    From their home page...

I guess that the CD Catalog that they advertise on all of their webpages are a NON-STOCKED item (I added the italics).

    Again, Steer Clear...

Do you sense that I am a little emotional about my negative experience with them?

You have GOT to be kidding me! :slap:

Even though they don't belong to the BBB (not surprisingly), I'd still make a claim (yes, you can do that) - just so they have to spend their time to defend it AND to have it on thier record. If more people would do that, they MIGHT change their attitude (well, fat chance but it doesn't hurt to try).

Yeah, I got screwed $20 plus shipping, or thereabouts. Figured I would lose them a BUNCH more money by telling everyone on this site NOT to buy from them.

Do a search on this forum, everytime (since I got screwed) that they are mentioned, I will pop up telling the same story and telling everyone to STEER CLEAR!!!

Otherwise, they would have sold 5-10 hoods, and chin spoilers, etc from guys on the forum since then. So I win :D even though I am out $20 bucks.

Actually, IMO, the BBB is a legalized form of racketeering/swindling/extortionist. I won't go as far as to say they're the "Jesse Jackson" of businesses - no one can perform a shakedown like him.

However, most of the J.Q. Public do not consider that the BBB EARNS THEIR REVENUE FROM THE "MEMBERS" OF THE BBB. Guess who's side the BBB is going to be on in MOST cases? I wouldn't doubt that they make it VERY difficult for any legit complaint to stick.

    - I know first hand how they act. Years ago, I went through the claim process in a dispute over $2,500.00.

For the heck of it, call up the BBB and ask them where they get their revenue. Then ask them how they could be neutral and actually have faith in them (thus the reason to make complaint anyway).

I'm not doing a Kerry here ("flip-flopping") - I'm just guessing that most people do not consider that the BBB could be anything but neutral.

    /rant off
