Ive installed my headliner that I bought from AutoCrafters, but it was not easy! There are about four different ways in articles and videos. Tried 2 of them that didn't work for me, but the 3rd attempt worked. I started in front at the rear view mirror. Buy wind lace and cut it in 3-4inch long to hold the liner in place as you go. Use 3M adhesive to glue to roof. Use heat gun to smooth out any wrinkles. Sound deadening or heat shield material could best be glued to roof before installing headliner. This takes alot of trial and error and patience for this whole job, but saves money and gives you the satifaction of having done it yourself! I have never done this before but I learned how and once you learn you can also share this with others. I feel now I could do another one if I needed to. But if you have the money and trust, have someone do it for you. Good luck in which ever way you choose to go. P.S. Both windshield and back window need to taken out because the liner goes under the glass. Good time to install new gaskets and or tint the windows.
I did mine myself. Used the old windlace to hold the headliner in as I glued it. Ordered new windlace for the install.
JR Upholstery in Douglasville did Earl Branhams and as far as I know it is still looking good, he is in strip center on Brightstar at hwy 78. Google it for number and Earl is a member on here you can contact him and get his opinion. Also I know Wilsons in Rockmart is highly recommended and does a lot of restoration cars.
