Head setups?

    Been lookin through sites and diggin up info on which types of heads to use for the 302, along with a cam. Was thinkin about the trick flow twisted wedge heads, o-ringed or not? Or the edelbrock heads with maybe the cam combo from that. Wantin to go with a mild cam. Any setup suggestions?

    i'm real happy with the edelbrock performer heads i'm using. also run a comp hydraulic cam with .542 and .544 lift. i only run it at the drag strip but the hydraulic cam is relatively maintenance free. :)

    Either will work well,the TFS are a bit cheaper than Edelbrocks new though.

    For a mild setup I would go with the Edelbrock pkg. They match all the parts to each other and have heard that the end results are very satisfying to those who have used them. Get the RPM pkg. and then you can upgrade to more power later on with pistons and other go fast goodies without having to buy more heads and manifolds etc.

    Mild set-up....Edlebrock. I agree, just buy the package. Takes all the guess work out of it.
    AFR 165 or 185's are nice:D

    Thanks for the info, was startin to lean towards the edlebrock and it would go pretty well with the edelbrock manifold i already have on. appreciated :yippee:

    I have AFR 165's w/ a Comp cam: .512 lift and 268 duration. Works good.
