Anyone try these headers on their Mav? My Dougs Shorites dont seem to flow enough for my 347 and certaintly not enough for my future plans.

I'm looking for a long tube style header that will fit on a lowered mav. I've tried the Headman and they hang too low under the car?

They scrape on low crossing areas..

Do the Hooker 6901's sit up tigher to the floor-pan? They look like they might.

Are there any other options besides custom?

the hooker headers hang low also. these cars just dont have the room to tuck long tubes up into the car. a custom header will be your best bet. probly need tobe a mid length, and if your motor plans are big the hookers wont have big enough tubes anyways.

Thanks for the photos Brad. You setup wouldnt stand a chance on my car. I think that would leave me about 3" of ground clearance. You setup looks great though.

Anyone have any advise on building headers? I might just buy a set of cheepo 99.99 summit knock-off headers and modify them. OR, I can pull the motor back out and cut the shock towers and use these:

Blown 5.0 mentioned in another post that he had some interference when trying to install these. I wonder if a little persuasion from the hammer would help.
