Hi, well im new to this forum but i figured it would be the best place to go seeing that its the only Maverick forum. So anyway i recently bought a 1973 Maverick grabber fixer upper. The headers were rusted through around the collectors, so i bought a new set of hooker 6901s for it. The passenger side went in great, no hitting anything, when turning, etc. But the drivers side was hitting the pitman arm when turning left. I knew that they would probably need some "massaging" to fit properly so i dented it where it was hitting. It was still hitting though so i kept taking the BFH approach until at this point the tube is dented flat to about half its original width. After all this its still hitting quite a bit.

Am i missing something? Because ive heard of them having to be dented a little but never this much.
Oh, and its a 302 and c4 combo if that helps

    Thanks, Zach

PS equipped cars need a drop down bracket. Otherwise, yea, they have the issue. There are many threads about this issue. Even the shorties have issues on most.
