Can anyone tell me a good set of headers that will fit a 1973 Maverick, 2dr, 305, C4 colmun shift. I had a set of 83300's but they will not fit the vehicle with the colmun shifter without modifications. Also if you can provide install instructions.

    Thanks in advance

    Rubben,

By chance do you have any pictures of the install. I spoke with the techies at Hedman and they are saying they have no headers that will fit my application. When asked about the 88400; they said they would not work because I have a column shifter. If I had a floor shifter they would work.

    Thanks
    Bob

You can convert your column shifter to a cable column shift and use headers as long as you route the cable away from them.

Do a search, and you should be able to find all the information you'll ever want (or care) to read. We've discussed this hundreds of times, and everyone seems to have their favorites.

    Hey Matt

Matt can you send the pics to me off link at RJS281@aol.com. Did you need to trim/cut shock towers? The guys at Hedman are standing firm that these will not work on my 1973 with auto trans and colmun shifter, but anything can work. I just don't want to fork out $180 to find out they don't work.

I appreciate your response and efforts. Thanks a bunch.
