The wife likes to leave her lights on. Does anyone know of a buzzer I can put on the car to alert her that the light are on when she turns engine off?
I was always leaving my parking lights on so I installed a buzzer in my Mav. I installed another...dome light switch...in the door. I ran a wire from the parking lights to the switch and then to a buzzer I got from Radio Shack...if I open the door with the lights on it buzzes...

You could get a package on Gran Torinos called the "Visibility Group" that included a lights on buzzer, and mine has it. Not sure if it was available on Mavericks.
I can remember growing up back in Illinois in the 70's, and my family had an Elite also. If memory serves me correctly, I think it was dark green metallic 75' or 76', when they dropped the "Gran Torino", and just called them "Elite". I can't remember if it had the key buzzer in ours.
The folks '71 Galaxie 500 had a key buzzer... AFAIK that car wasn't anything special, I always thought the buzzer was a std feature... I know it was irritating... I can't remember the first car I owned with one, probably a '74 Pinto wagon... Most were disconnected(or worn out) by the time I bought the car...
"irritating"...it's a "training tool". with mine, after opening the door several times with the lights on, I now subconsciously check the light switch before I open the door...
