If I found a new headliner at the junkyard, how would I take it out or put it in? Also what about the dashpad?

first thing the gaskets that hold the windshield and back glass in also hold the headliner in so yes, thats where you start. then you can remove the gasket going around the top of the car. the rods on top can be pulled to clear the holes after the dome light is removed.

    dashpad

there are bolts on inside of the dash you must remove, some are in very tight areas, take your time and watch for wiring and sharpe metal.

I cant imagine you could remove one intact. They are glued on in places and there are tack strips on the rear sail. Just like tack strips on your wall to wall carpet in your house. Chances of finding one good enough to be removed is probably slim and even if it looks good, it probably won't by time you get it out. I dont want to discourage you but keep in mind a new on is only about $70. Cheaper if you know an upholstry guy.

removing the dash pad is a job in itself. do a search on dash pads and you should get all the info. you will need to remove it. good luck...frank...:bananaman :bananaman

Removing the dash pad isn't so bad until you get to the nuts around the steering column and drivers side. Took me a couple hours and a few beers before I got mine free.;)
