I recently changed out the plastic vacuum switch on my 77 Maverick with a metal one I ordered from Green's sales. When I went to install the vacuum plug I noticed that the color on the vacuum lines did not match up with the color markings on the switch. I have never run this car, so I have no idea if the heater/AC ever worked. I would think that the colors should match up to insure proper operation of the heater/AC unit. Am I correct in my thinking? If so, are the vac lines going into the vacuum plug interchangeable? Hopefully you can see the differences in the pictures I have attached.
