I have a question about a broken heater control bezel. Has anyone attempted to fix this notorious part without running a screw from the outside to hold it in place. And my other problem I have, it looks like the previous owner had epoxied the knobs on. o_O

I'm always appreciative of any advice.

Velcro or double sided tape works well.

Sometimes the knobs can be real stubborn. You really have to PULL on them.

I remember that thread - that magnet deal is cool - I'm going to experiment next summer on a few decent bezels that have broken pins.

Thanks gentlemen , I have some rare earth magnets in the shop that are just the right size. I'm humbled by the vast knowledge and experience that is on this site. Velcro is a good idea also. I will experiment with both. Thanks for your input.

I tried the Velcro. It did hold the bezel on the dash but the bezel will find away to get crooked or bow out at the top or bottom in a matter of minutes. It's like seeing a cooked picture on the wall and everything you do to fix it, it would still be cooked. I do not suggest the Velcro.
