I found a NOS Heater panel (the panel for the fan speed, warm/cool, vent controls) this panel isnt lining up very well. every time i try to turn on the fan speed the panel wants to pop out, and ive pushed as hard as i can to make sure the clips are in there proper spots... Is that a common problem? If so how do you fix it?

    Tanks,
    Chaz.

I would guess either your "posts" are broke off...or the metal sleeves have come off the posts.

They sure are... They will snap in, but when you goto turn on the fan the plate pops out, i snap it in at the top, it snaps out the bottom, if i use ALL my fingers to snap it in at the top and bottom it will hold, until i move a lever..

Sounds like the tabs on metal sleeves are not holding on to the dash.

I used a little strip of industrial strength velcro on the top and bottom of the panel. You can't see it, and it holds the panel in very well. Plus, if I need to take it out, it is a lot easier than trying to get the pegs out. Mine had the pegs broken off when I got it, so it did this out of necessity. Good luck!
