Hey, guys and gals! Let me start off by saying that my name is Nick. I am 18 years old, live in sunny Florida and daily drive a Mildly build Mercury Comet that I have been working on for a while now. I am a lover of all things old, especially when it is car related. I mostly stick to Fords but I don't like to pick favorites. Some of my previous cars include a 1985 ascMclaren Capri, 1986 Mercury Cougar, 1968 Ford Fairlane formal roof and lastly my Comet! I look forward to learning new things about these fascinating and fun cars while meeting new people and new friends! -Nick
to the forum from central VA! Give us some more details on your car and some pics of the interior and under the hood.
Thanks for all the warm welcomes. I'll get some more pictures tomorrow, hopefully. I can give you some specs though. It's a 1971 mustang block bored .30 over (306) flat top Pistons, worked 1968 302 cast heads, 512 lift cam, 1.6 ratio comp cams rollers, Edelbrock aluminum intake (f4b) with a Holley 600 on top. It has a built c4 with nasty shift kit and a 3500 stall. 8 inch with a posi and I'm still rolling with 2.73 highway gears which kills my bottom end with the cam and stall setup I'm running. The next step is a good set of 3.55s or 3.73s for sure!
