    Hi,
My name is David Soppeland (aka Sopp ) and I'm teaching the art of auto restoration to my Grandson by restoring his 1976 Comet 4-door. It is his first car and he doesn't mind that it has 4 doors, but the sick 6 cylinder has to go. We have a 302 roller motor for rebuilding and an AOD to back it up. We have considered converting it to a Maverick and building a replica Gapp & Roush pro-stock. We'll see...................
Biggest problem to start with is patching some common rust areas. Where can I find replacement patch panels? Lower front fenders, lower rear quarters, and doglegs are all we really need to get started. The rest of the car is pretty solid. Only 50K on the odometer. I can build the panels myself but would rather spend my time on other, more productive, things.
I'm looking forward to participating in this forum, both giving and recieving of info. Thanks in advance for any and all advice on this.

    Sopp

    Howdy and :Welcome:
Currently the only sheet metal available is quarter skins. Autokrafters sell them. The also have floors listed in their catalogs but they are not available yet. According to Jeff at Autokrafters, who attended our Roundup saturday, they will be available this fall. He also said quarter panel patch panels will be available next spring. Good luck with the project.

Thank you Mavaholic for the tip on Autokrafters. I'll check what they have.

Thank you to everyone else for the warm welcome. I'll try to be a helpful member.
