Just signed up and got and account. Just want to say hello to everyone and share my car and story.

My car is a 1972 Comet GT, I bought it 15.5 years ago (when I was 13). I bought it off of my fathers uncle who had owned the car since new. When i was 15 years old, a year before I got my licence, I took the car into a local body shop (owned by an aunts brother). Any way, I got a summer job at the body shop and was able to to alot of the work on my car myself. In the year leading up to me getting my licence the body was completely restored, partially by myself, ready for my 16th birthday.

I was able to drive the car for 2 years until I moved to the city and the car has been parked ever since. I am now getting very excited to get through my schooling so I can get my car out of storage and start to fix it and drive it again.

The car has been parked in my parents unheated garage for the past 10 and the mice have taken a serious toll on the interior, which now has to be completely replaced.

Here is the only pic I currently have of my car, and I hope to meet some new friends.

    Welcome !

How do mice get into a car, assuming the windows, doors and trunk are closed?

Stefan, let me assure you, mice can get in anywhere. Grommet for the electrical wiring a bit torn, they´ll find it for sure, and if they don´t fit allready they´ll make the hole bigger. Cute little buggers, but they can do a lot of damage! ;)

I will be getting some more pics this weekend when I am up at my folks place. Ill get some shots of the engine and some of the nasty interior. And yes, the mice did a tonne of damage. The interior will need to be completely replaced.
