Need any help you guys can spare!
im putting in a 85 302 into my 72 mav i pulled out old engine now getting ready for new engine to drop in but i noticed on drivers side engine
the old motor has a place on the block to screw in the shifter linkage rod pivet im guessing. the new engine does not have this threaded hole.

Some of the mustang suppliers offer a bracket or you can make one from a piece of metal, mine is formed from a 302 water pump back plate...

I may install it tomorrow so I'll see if it actually works...

BTW if you need one for clutch linkage mounting, the metal probably should be at least 3/16" thick...
