There are new tanks made for the later year Mavs. Swapping a Mustang tank in can be good too. There is a tech article on that posted here. I highly recommend going with a new tank instead of a used one. A 30 year old used tank is bound to be cruddy, even if it looks great externally.
just use the later straps 75-77 with the later gas tank, or longer bolts with ur currect straps and it'll bolt right in
new problem.......sending unit and float got gas tank all cleaned up.......but now i cant find a sending unit...............it never stops
