I took out my cluster today only to find that the white plastic back of the unit is crumbling like a cracker, can this piece be repaired? does anyone still produce it?
Its not reproduced and I guess it would depend on how bad it is on whether it's repairable. Best bet is to find a another one. They really arn't too hard to find in decent shape. I have a bunch of them. I'll give ya one for shipping cost if your interested.

I see you have a 1977 Maverick. Seems the later year Mavericks were very prone to this problem. Question: Does anybody know if the early year Mavericks piece will work? Is the white plastic the same? I know the circuit board and light positions are different. Anybody know?
Craig; the cluster in my 69.5 is from a '75 Comet. Seems to work well, with no problems. I have a 120mph speedo in it, and it is whitefaced, but otherwise the same. It does have a seatbelt lite in it. Earl
I know earlier ones are made out of blue plastic and they don't have the same problem as the white plastic ones. I believe they are fully interchangable, but I don't know for sure...
