Help identifying rubber plug/guide

    I'm stumped (not hard to do). I can't figure out where these came from. Anybody recognize them? Looks like a plug/guide of some sort. My car is pretty heavily modified so I don't know if I missed something or if it no longer exists on my car but it is driving me nuts.

    1972 Maverick Grabber - Color: Orange Also, 1976 Ford Maverick 4-door, 1977 Mercury Comet 2-door.
    They are under the front fenders next to the cowl.

    Thanks Craig. I have fenders and a cowl so I missed something. Better go look for the holes.
